General Motors steadfastly refused to develop any more cutting-edge technical solutions for the Chevrolet Corvette out of respect for tradition. Additionally, the Corvette E-Ray, as it is also known, has four-wheel drive thanks to the 160 horsepower electric motor that is mounted on the front axle. Although the top speed has not been disclosed, the whole cavalcade of 655 thoroughbreds will push it to 96 kilometers per hour in just 2.5 seconds. On energy alone, it can travel up to 72 kilometers per hour, although it is unknown how much autonomy the small 1.9 kilowatt-hour batteries offer. There are a few additional noteworthy features on the Corvette E-Ray. Along with Michelin Pilot Sport tires and a tweaked suspension, ceramic brakes come standard. Chevrolet engineers claim that this is the most innovative Corvetta in the model's history, despite the weight only rising by 45 kg. Only at year's end will serial production begin.
